Die Upstairs-Gallery bote seit Anfang 2011 ein Forum für zeitgenössische Kunst und interdisziplinäre Projekte. Carsten Meyer-Bohlen präsentrierte zusammen mit seiner Frau, der Kunsthistorikerin Dr. Monica Meyer-Bohlen, ein Ausstellungsprogramm nationaler und internationaler vorwiegend junger künstlerischer Positionen, die sich – jenseits kurzlebiger Trends – mit der Welt auseinandersetzen. Dabei standen aufstrebende Künstler der Akademien im Vordergrund. Der Schwerpunkt lag auf Malerei, Fotografie und Medienkunst.

Upstairs-Gallery presented a platform for contemporary art and inter-disciplinary projects since February 2011. The Carsten Meyer-Bohlen and his wife, the art historian Monica Meyer-Bohlen presented an exhibition programme with an emphasis on promoting young national and international artists with a special focus on painting, photography and the new media. Alongside the exhibitions, inter-disciplinary projects will be carried out.
